The standard material coding system for building a transparent (sunshine) procurement platform adopts the structure of first-level classification + second-level classification + third-level classification + specification and model. This system covers 52 major categories of material codes including both materials and equipment. The material information such as coding category names and description methods for specifications and models takes into account both standardized regulatory requirements and commonly used market terms. The categories, specifications and models of these codes can basically meet the procurement needs of various units and projects in the construction industry.
