资源简介:
Following the Boulder Low-Level Intercomparison Experiment (BLIE) in August and September 1979 at the Boulder Atmospheric Observatory (BAO), the results of which are reported by Kaimal et al. (1980), interest has increased in using the BAO facility for instrument testing, calibration, and comparison. In the spring and summer of 1980, two manufacturers returned to BAO with their instruments for further testing and comparison. The three-axis Doppler bistatic sonar from Radian Corporation discussed in this report was a redesign of the system used in the BLIE. The Tethersonde from AIR, Inc., essentially identical with that used in the BLIE, provided averages of about 5 min at nearly fixed levels corresponding to the BAO tower levels. Similar averages for the tower data were used for comparisons. The monostatic Doppler sodar from Bertin and Co., also discussed in this report, was not previously tested at the BAO.
