It can be preserved via three standard methods: liquid nitrogen cryopreservation, mineral oil overlay preservation, and periodic subculture. Basidiocarps are annual, stipitate, appressed near the stipe, and corky. The pileus is semicircular, flattened, measuring 3×6 cm and 4 mm thick; its surface is blood-red, while the context is orange-red with concentric annular rings, approximately 3 mm thick. The tubes are pale orange, about 2 mm long. The pore surface is concolorous with the pileus, and the pores are circular with a density of 6 per mm. Basidiospores are cylindrical, slightly curved, hyaline, smooth, measuring 4×1.6 μm. On the 7th day of cultivation in a specialized medium, the laccase activity reaches 2500 U/L, where one unit of enzyme activity is defined as the amount of enzyme required to oxidize 1 μM ABTS per minute at 25°C. This strain produces laccase.
