A descriptive analysis of the outbreak and a 1:1 unmatched case-control study to identify risk factors for measles was conducted. A case was a child aged 15 years and below who resides in the Mutasa who tested IgM positive for measles from the 10th of April 2022 or was epidemiologically linked to a confirmed case. Validated, structured interviewer-administered questionnaires were used to collect data from the cases and controls. District preparedness and response were assessed using a checklist. Data were analysed using Epi Info version 7.2.5. Odds ratios were calculated for each risk factor. Multivariable logistic regression analysis was performed to identify independent risk factors for contracting measles
