Streamwater and groundwater samples were collected at relatively high frequencies using ISCO water samplers in the Shale Hills catchment in the Shale Hills Critical Zone Observatory. The ISCO samplers were equipped with a gravitational filtration system, which filters water upon sampling by gravity. All the samples were acidified using ultra-pure nitric acid (2% v/v). This work was funded by NSF Critical Zone Observatory program grants to C. Duffy (EAR 07-25019) and S. L. Brantley (EAR 12-39285, EAR 13-31726).

本数据集的样品采自页岩山关键带观测站(Shale Hills Critical Zone Observatory)的页岩山集水区,采用ISCO水样采集器(ISCO water samplers)以较高的采样频率采集溪流与地下水样品。该ISCO水样采集器搭载重力过滤系统,可在采样阶段通过重力作用完成水体过滤。所有样品均使用体积分数为2%的超纯硝酸进行酸化处理。本研究由美国国家科学基金会(National Science Foundation, NSF)关键带观测计划项目资助,资助项目包括授予C. 达菲(C.
