The broad host range IncP-alpha plasmid, pRK404, has been extensively used for cloning and expression of genes in Gram-negative bacteria. However, several versions of the original plasmid are present in different laboratories. In tbis study, we give the sequence of our in-house derivative, pRK404G, which shows several differences to previously published data.
