Reproduction package for the paper Exploratory Study of Corporate Contributions in Android Development through Repository Analysis

This repository contains the replication package associated with the comparative study on corporate contributions to Android development. The primary objective is to replicate, update, and extend the empirical analysis presented in the baseline paper (2014), contrasting historical organizational structures with modern data extracted via the GrimoireLab Perceval mining engine and processed through Python/Jupyter environments. To meet the longitudinal data requirements for modern software engineering benchmarks, this edition captures the full development and maintenance cycle of Android 15, extending the empirical observation window from its initial upstream phases up to March 2026. This temporal boundary is strictly anchored to the authoritative release tag android-15.0.0_r20 (and the stable android15-6.6 LTS kernel branch), ensuring that all cumulative security patches, vendor-specific subsystem implementations, and platform evolution deltas deployed during the 2025–2026 maintenance cycle are completely indexable and statistically represented.
