We present a case of familial recurrent furunculosis caused by Panton-Valentine leukocidin (PVL)-positive MRSA. Five strains isolated from the patients were identified a sequence type 8 with a SCCmec type IVa, the PVL gene, arginine catabolic mobile element (ACME) type 1, and spa type t304.
