Discrete surface measurements of dissolved inorganic carbon, total alkalinity, temperature and salinity collected from R/V Le Suroit French PIRATA cruise in Eastern Tropical Atlantic Ocean from 2013-05-11 to 2013-06-18 (NCEI Accession 0171189)

This dataset consists of discrete surface measurements of DIC, alkalinity, temperature and salinity collected from R/V Le Suroit French PIRATA cruise in Eastern Tropical Atlantic Ocean from 2013-05-11 to 2013-06-18. Seawater samples (500 mL) were taken in the Eastern Tropical Atlantic during the French PIRATA cruise for inorganic carbon and alkalinity analyses. The method is based on the potentiometric titration of Edmond (1970) with a closed cell. Certified Reference Material provided by Prof. A. Dickson is used for calibration.

本数据集收录了2013年5月11日至2013年6月18日期间，在东热带大西洋海域由法国PIRATA航次搭载的R/V Le Suroit号研究船所采集的离散表层实测数据，涵盖溶解无机碳（Dissolved Inorganic Carbon，DIC）、碱度、温度及盐度四项指标。本次法国PIRATA航次期间，于东热带大西洋海域采集了500 mL海水样本，用于溶解无机碳与碱度的实验室分析。分析方法采用闭池电位滴定法，其技术方案基于Edmond于1970年提出的标准方法。校准工作使用了A. Dickson教授提供的有证标准物质（Certified Reference Material）。
