Sedimentation and ventilation shaped methane-related δ13C excursions on the Chile margin

This dataset contains the chronological, benthic foraminiferal, stable isotope and principal component analysis data generated from ODP Site 1235A on the south-central Chile margin. The record spans 26,753-13,168 cal yr BP and comprises 311 sediment samples. Data are provided in separate worksheets containing modelled sample ages, benthic foraminiferal relative abundances, diversity indices, biofacies assignments, the total-oxic assemblage, paired Uvigerina peregrina δ¹³C and δ¹⁸O measurements, and PCA input, scores, loadings and variance summary. Ages are expressed as calibrated years BP, faunal abundances as percentages, and isotope values in ‰ relative to VPDB.
