Uncultured Bathycoccus Metagenomic Assembly. uncultured Bathycoccus

An uncultured Bathycoccus population was retrieved from tropical Atlantic Ocean waters using flow-cytometry. Genomic DNA was amplified using multiple displacement amplifications (MDA). To remove assemblies originating from non-Bathycoccus cells, assemblies were assigned to Bathycoccus when more than half of the predicted ORFs on a contig had a best blastX hit against a Prasinophyte sequence (Micromonas or Ostreoccus).
