Spatial point datasets for testing Distance-Based Join Queries

This collection contains several spatial point datasets obtained by extracting and/or pre-processing data from public sources and used for testing distributed join queries. The "large" and "medium" datasets were generated from the "OpenStreetMap - Old datasets" collection available at http://spatialhadoop.cs.umn.edu/datasets.html Ahmed Eldawy and Mohamed F. Mokbel, "SpatialHadoop: A MapReduce Framework for Spatial Data", In Proceedings of the IEEE International Conference on Data Engineering, ICDE 2015, Seoul, South Korea, April, 2015 The "small" datasets were generated directly from OpenStreetMap data by extracting points according to common labels.
