Orthophoto has the same geometric properties as a map and can be linked to a reference system. Orthophotos are divided into different orthophoto standards suitable for different purposes. “Rectified aerial images” is usually a temporary product, which is used during the control of the map design. They are therefore of poorer quality than final orthophotos. Rectified aerial images are replaced by final orthophotos when these are produced from the construction images.
