We report the genome of a shigatoxin producing Escherichia coli O26:H11 strain 21765 derived from patients and linked to the consumption of unpasteurized cow’s cheese. It is the first outbreak of STEC non O157 linked to consumption of unpasteurized cows’ cheese in France.
