Different surgical approaches for treatment of zygomatic bone fractures

The zygomatic bone, which is prominent in the facial skeleton and frequently subject to stress, is crucial for maintaining the malar eminence because it affects the aesthetic form of the face and cheek. Zygomatic bone fractures were reduced and fixed using several surgical techniques, and each technique's postoperative problems were tracked for two years. For fracture displacement, the CT-scan procedure of clinical and radiological confirmation has been followed. Three patients had conservative treatment without intervention; eleven underwent close reduction without fixation; and eighteen underwent open reduction with fixation.

颧骨（zygomatic bone）作为面颅骨中较为突出的结构，常承受应力载荷，对维持颧突（malar eminence）形态至关重要，因其直接影响面部与面颊的美学外观。目前已有多种手术技术用于颧骨骨折的复位与固定，并对每种技术对应的术后并发症进行了为期两年的追踪随访。针对骨折移位情况，所有病例均采用CT扫描（CT-scan）完成临床与影像学确认。本研究共纳入3例接受保守治疗且未行手术干预的患者、11例行闭合复位但未行固定的患者，以及18例行切开复位内固定的患者。
