UK Panel Radiator Heat Output Dataset: K-RAD, Stelrad & Scudo

UK Panel Radiator Heat Output Dataset This dataset provides a like-for-like comparison of standard UK panel convector radiators from K-RAD, Stelrad and Scudo using manufacturer-published heat output at ΔT50. The dataset was compiled and analysed by Find Cheap Radiators: DATASET CONTENTS The master dataset contains 421 standard panel radiator records covering Type 11, Type 21, Type 22 and Type 33 configurations. A second dataset contains 64 exact like-for-like comparison groups. A comparison is only made when radiator type, nominal height and nominal width are identical. The core analysis uses manufacturer-published BTU/hr and Watts at ΔT50. Retail prices and RRP are deliberately excluded because directly comparable pricing was not available consistently across all three manufacturers. HEADLINE FINDINGS Across the 64 exact size-and-type comparisons: • The median difference between the highest and lowest published ΔT50 heat output was approximately 5.24%.• The largest observed difference was approximately 11.79%.• K-RAD produced the highest published BTU output in 50 of the 64 exact comparison groups.• Stelrad led 14 exact comparison groups.• Stelrad led the common 600mm-high Type 11 comparisons.• K-RAD led the matched Type 21, Type 22 and Type 33 groups represented in this dataset.• 10 exact comparison groups contain products from all three brands: K-RAD, Stelrad and Scudo. These results should not be interpreted as a universal ranking of radiator manufacturers. Product ranges and available sizes differ between brands. METHODOLOGY Products are only compared where the following match exactly: 1. Normalized panel radiator type.2. Nominal height in millimetres.3. Nominal width in millimetres. No nearest-size matching is used. Raw manufacturer values are preserved separately from trusted analysis values. Two anomalous Stelrad records remain in the master dataset for transparency but are excluded from ranking calculations rather than being silently corrected. K-RAD and Stelrad technical literature references BS EN 442 operating/test conditions. The supplied Scudo documentation publishes T50 heat output and states that the radiators are EN442 tested and certified.
