Variability and Individuality in the Contact Calls of Jackdaws (Corvus monedula)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset accompanies the study “Variability and Individuality in the Contact Calls of Jackdaws (Corvus monedula)” by Georgine Szipl, Anton Baotic, and Kurt Kotrschal, published in Animal Cognition (2025). The archive (.zip) contains two main folders corresponding to the machine learning approaches used to classify individual jackdaw contact calls based on visual and/or acoustic representations: · Unsupervised Analysis – Includes all Tchak contact call recordings in .wav format, together with adapted Jupyter Notebook files based on Thomas et al. (2022) and Xie et al. (2024). · Supervised Analysis – Includes two subfolders for the visual and acoustic analyses, each containing the relevant data sheets and adapted Jupyter Notebook files based on Xie et al. (2024). The dataset provides the materials necessary to reproduce and explore the analyses presented in the publication, supporting further research on vocal individuality and classification methods in avian communication.
