Fecal sample from high-performance athlete Targeted loci environmental

This project investigates the impact of a structured dietary intervention on the gut microbiota composition of a high performance athlete. Fecal samples were collected before and after a five week nutritional intervention designed to optimize gut microbial balance and athletic performance. DNA was extracted using the DNeasy PowerSoil Pro Kit (Qiagen) and the bacterial community structure was analyzed by 16S rRNA V3 V4 amplicon sequencing on the Illumina MiSeq platform. Bioinformatic processing was performed using FastQC, Trimmomatic, and Kraken2, with taxonomic classification based on the SILVA 138.1 database. This study aims to explore the relationship between diet, microbial diversity, and functional potential in the human gut microbiome under conditions of high physical performance.
