资源简介:
A print disabled person is a person who cannot effectively read print because of a visual, physical, perceptual, developmental, cognitive or learning disability. In Finland, the project Library for All was developed to reach out to users who cannot read standard printed texts. The project began in October 2013 and will end in December 2015. Library for All is a joint project between state-owned Celia Library for the print disabled and public libraries in Finland. The aim is to make available talking books produced by Celia in the services and collections of public libraries. This project is designed to provide equal access to literature and information for persons with print disabilities. This paper provides an overview of the project and the working methods used, while including information about how this service could be implemented in other libraries.
