peaceBooksR: Peace Books data archive (1919-1920)

This R data package provides access to the Peace Books, reference reports prepared by the Historical Section of the British Foreign Office between 1918 and 1919 for the British Delegation at the Paris Peace Conference. Published in 1920, the volumes cover geography, culture, population, and economy of countries and territories worldwide. The package contains five datasets: full texts at page- and volume-level (peace_books_pages, peace_books_volumes), bibliographic references of sources used in the volumes (peace_books_authorities), sentiment tokens matched against the Bing dictionary with lemmas, POS tags, and NER values (peace_books_ner_sentiment), and administrative metadata for cross-referencing (peace_books_ids). The corpus contains only the body of texts; paratext elements were removed.
