A sum index is calculated from the first three questions on alcohol consumption: “How often have you drank...”, “How many “glass”...”, “How often [...] six “glasses”...”. See survey form for details. The first and third questions get points 4, 3, 2, 1, 0 and the second question gets 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and the answer option does not count as internal loss. The points from the three questions are summed up so that failure on one of the questions does not mean that there will be a loss for the sum index. The index can take the value 0-12. Men with a total of 6-12 points are counted as risk consumers of alcohol. The corresponding limit is for women 5-12 points. Lower limit values give unrealistically high proportions of risk consumers. Men with a total of 6-12 points and women with 5-12 points, according to the sum index above divided by the number who answered the question. The data refers to year T-2 to year T.
