Raw Sequencing Reads of the Mitochondrial Genome of the Kalmyk Toad-Headed Agama Phrynocephalus guttatus kalmykus

This dataset contains raw Illumina sequencing reads (FASTQ format) of the unassembled mitochondrial genome of the Kalmyk toad-headed agama Phrynocephalus guttatus kalmykus, collected from Kalmykia, Cherniye Zemli, Russia. The data were generated to explore mitochondrial genomic variation and to infer the phylogenetic and biogeographic relationships within the Phrynocephalus guttatus species group (Reptilia: Agamidae). These data provide a valuable resource for comparative genomics, population genetics, and evolutionary studies of Central Asian reptiles.
