Description of Narnaviridae adapted from ICTVdb Virion Properties Particles contain nucleic acid. Nucleic acid is not encapsidated. Morphology Virions have no true particles and consist of a nucleoprotein complex. Virus capsid is not enveloped. Nucleic Acid The genome is not segmented and contains a single molecule of linear positive-sense, single-stranded, or double-stranded RNA. The complete genome is 2300-3500 nucleotides long. Proteins The viral genome encodes non-structural proteins. Non-Structural Proteins: The virus codes for an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase.
