Adolescent and Young Adult Type 1 Diabetes Audit (AYA), 2017-21

The Adolescent and Young Adult Type 1 Diabetes Audit (AYA; previously referred to as the National Diabetes Transition Audit, NDTA) links datasets from the adult National Diabetes Audit (NDA) and the paediatric National Paediatric Diabetes Audit (NPDA). The AYA has been designed to audit care provision during the period when young people with diabetes move from paediatric to adult based clinical care.

### Making clinical audit data transparent
In his transparency and open data letter to Cabinet Ministers on 7 July 2011, the Prime Minister made a commitment to make clinical audit data available from the national audits within the National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Programme.

Adolescent and Young Adult Type 1 Diabetes Audit data for 2017-21 are available at England level.

### Using and interpreting the data
Data from the Adolescent and Young Adult Type 1 Diabetes Audit should not be looked at in isolation when assessing standards of care.

The data covers the period 01 January 2017 to 31 March 2021. This National Report was published on 16 June 2022.

青少年与青年1型糖尿病审计（Adolescent and Young Adult Type 1 Diabetes Audit，简称AYA；前身为全国糖尿病转诊审计（National Diabetes Transition Audit，NDTA））整合了成人全国糖尿病审计（National Diabetes Audit，NDA）与全国儿科糖尿病审计（National Paediatric Diabetes Audit，NPDA）的数据集。本审计旨在针对罹患糖尿病的青少年群体从儿科临床护理转向成人临床护理的阶段，对其医疗服务供给情况开展审计工作。
