资源简介:
Luminescent copper complexes have attracted recent attention
as
emerging materials due to their specific light-emitting applications.
Due to their cost-effective and luminescent tunable nature, luminescent
copper complexes have been studied widely. A blue-emitting copper(II)
dinuclear complex, [Cu2(μ2-OOCCH3)4(L)2] (1) has been
synthesized from the reaction between copper(II) acetate and 1-(9-methyl
anthracene)-2-(2-methylpyridine)-benzimidazol-2-thione (L). The complex is then characterized by FT-IR, SCXRD, PXRD, TGA,
EPR, UV–vis, and fluorescence spectroscopy techniques. The
solid-state structure of 1 reveals a dinuclear copper(II)
core, where four acetate ligands bridge the copper centers. Due to
its dynamic behavior, the complex is nonemissive in the solution state,
while the complex emits blue light (λem = 455 nm) in the crystalline state. The quantum yield is found to
be 13% in the crystalline state, and a nanosecond decay has been observed
for the complex due to its fluorescent nature. The LED coating demonstration
is performed to showcase the potential application of such luminescent
complexes in light-emitting device technologies.
