Representations report : Western Sydney Orbital : volume 3 : appendices 12 to 25

The Western Sydney Orbital (WSO) is a proposed motorway 40 kilometres long , extending from the Hume Highway/F5 Freeway/M5 Motorway at Crossroads/Prestons in the south to the M2 Motorway at West Baulkham Hills in the north. The WSO is proposed to become part of the National Highway System in Australia, replacing the congested Cumberland Highway as the route through Sydney. In addition, the WSO aims to improve traffic within western Sydney by connecting Sydney's existing motorways (the M5, the M4 and the M2) and thereby completing a large section of the Sydney Orbital Road Network. The RTA has prepared this Representations Report. It responds to the representations that were received and outlines modifications to the Proposal in order to mitigate the environmental impacts. It also provides a summary of mitigation measures and other commitments.

西悉尼绕城公路（Western Sydney Orbital，简称WSO）是一条规划建设的40公里高速公路，南起位于南部交汇处（Crossroads/Prestons）的休姆高速公路（Hume Highway）/F5高速公路（F5 Freeway）/M5高速公路（M5 Motorway），北至位于北部鲍勒姆希尔斯（West Baulkham Hills）的M2高速公路（M2 Motorway）。WSO被规划纳入澳大利亚国家高速公路系统，将取代拥堵的坎伯兰高速公路（Cumberland Highway），成为途经悉尼的干线公路通道。此外，该项目旨在通过连接悉尼现有高速公路（M5、M4及M2）改善悉尼西部的交通通行状况，进而补齐悉尼绕城公路网（Sydney Orbital Road Network）的大片核心区段。道路与交通管理局（Roads & Traffic Authority，简称RTA）已编制本《公众意见答复报告》，该报告将对此前收到的各类公众意见作出回应，并列明为减轻项目环境影响而对规划方案作出的调整内容，同时汇总了各项环境缓解措施及其他相关承诺事项。
