The datasets contained the raw data of the manuscript titled "Screening proteins associated with development and progression of colorectal cancer by LC–MS/MS analysis". Through this research, we identified 227 DEPs, 103 DEPs and 181 DEPs between grade 2 cancer tissues and para-carcinoma tissues, between grade 3 cancer tissues and para-carcinoma tissues, as well as between the cancer tissues of grade 2 and grade 3, including RPS4X/RPS3, HSP90AA1, FN1/HSPA8, Periostin, Serpin H1 and Calponin-1. Additionally, EIF2 signaling, ILK signaling, TCA cycle, LXR/RXR signaling and PI3K/AKT signaling pathway was found to play important roles in CRC occurrence and progression. Our findings help further to elucidate the protein expression at different stages of CRC and the status of related signaling pathways, as well as provide a basis for exploring the novel potential therapeutic target proteins and pathways for CRC prevention and treatment.
