Main Endeavour Field Benthic and Resistivity Sensors Deployed 2018-07-28

The OceanEngUW BARS 01 was deployed on 2018-07-28 at Main Endeavour Field. Main Endeavour Field is a vent field located at Endeavour Ridge, where hydrothermal vent systems are observed. This device is a Benthic and Resistivity Sensors. Benthic and Resistivity Sensors (BARS) collect measurements from hydrothermal vents, using sensors to measure resistivity, temperature, eH (oxidizing nature of seawater components) and hydrogen. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 2.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.

OceanEngUW BARS 01 于2018年7月28日在主奋进热液场（Main Endeavour Field）完成布放。主奋进热液场是坐落于奋进海岭（Endeavour Ridge）的热液喷口场域，区内已观测到热液喷口系统。该设备为底栖与电阻率传感器（Benthic and Resistivity Sensors, BARS），其通过搭载的传感器测量电阻率、温度、eH（海水组分的氧化特性）与氢气含量，开展热液喷口相关监测数据采集工作。该传感器被布设于固定平台之上。本次布放获取的数据集已完成存档，并通过加拿大海洋网络（Ocean Networks Canada）的Oceans 2.0数字基础设施对外公开；所有数据均遵循既定规范完成质量管控，并配套生成了衍生数据产品。
