Restoration of Critical Habitat Post April 2015 Storm Event Stage #1

This project aims to restore habitat and control erosion by replanting native species which were lost in the April 2015 storm event. It will also protect the integrity of the creek bank with new strategic fencing to control stock and people movements. Weed removal of invasive species will restore and connect habitat connectivity for native species located in the area and will decrease fragmentation. Walking tracks will also be constructed to direct and control pedestrian activity which will afford the native plants protection from public access.

本项目旨在通过补植2015年4月风暴事件中消亡的本土物种，修复区域生境并防治水土流失。同时，项目将布设新型战略性围栏，管控牲畜与人员活动，以保护溪岸的结构完整性。清除入侵性杂草将修复并连通该区域本土物种的生境连通性，降低生境破碎化程度。此外，项目还将修建步行步道，引导并规范行人活动，从而避免公共通行对本土植物造成干扰与破坏。
