This dataset contains statistical records of floor areas of buildings under construction and completed during capital construction in Qinghai Province, spanning 1980 to 2000. The data is categorized by period (year), floor area under construction, completed floor area, residential building floor area, average construction cost per square meter of completed buildings, and residential building construction cost (yuan). All data was compiled from the Qinghai Statistical Yearbook published by the Qinghai Provincial Bureau of Statistics.

The dataset includes three data tables, specifically: "Floor Area Under Construction and Completed During Capital Construction by Period 1980-1998.xls", "Floor Area Under Construction and Completed During Capital Construction by Period 1980-1999.xls", and "Floor Area Under Construction and Completed During Capital Construction by Period 1980-2000.xls".
