资源简介:
This dataset was constructed for the analysis of the short-term effects of international migration on household labor supply in Mexico using microdata from the National Occupation and Employment Survey (ENOE) covering the period 2021–2024. The database exploits the rotating panel structure of the ENOE to identify households experiencing migration events involving the household head or their partner and to observe labor market outcomes in the quarters surrounding the migration event.
The dataset includes demographic, household and labor-market variables related to employment status, hours worked, household position, migration events and child labor conditions. Additionally, the database incorporates derived variables designed for short-term panel and difference-in-differences analysis, including treatment timing indicators, migration-event cohorts and labor supply outcomes observed before and after migration events.
The database was processed and harmonized for econometric analysis using fixed-effects and staggered difference-in-differences methodologies, facilitating the study of migration, labor supply adjustments, household behavior and child labor in Mexico. The dataset was developed for academic and research purposes in labor economics, migration studies and household economics.
