Annual Maximum Summer Snowline Dataset for Six Glaciers in the Canadian Arctic (2013–2024)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset provides annual maximum summer snowline altitude estimates from 2013 to 2024 for six glaciers across the Canadian Arctic and High Arctic: Highway, BylotD20s, Coronation, Fountain, Turner, and White glaciers. Snowline positions were derived from multispectral satellite imagery using two complementary methods implemented in Python via glacier-snow-cover-mapping-for-ANP-and-SNP: Snow‑Elevation Histogram Analysis (SEHA):An automated machine learning-assisted approach that estimates the Equilibrium Line Altitude (ELA) by analyzing the histogram of reflectance-derived snow cover and glacier surface elevation. Output columns: datetime_SLA_SEHA, SLA_SEHA_m, SLA_SEHA_AAR, SLA_SEHA_SCA_m2 Bin-based Delineation (SLA_bin method):A binned Accumulation Area Ratio (AAR) analysis method using pixel-based snow classification and terrain binning. Output columns: datetime_SLA, SLA_m, SLA_AAR, SLA_SCA_m2 Both methods use data from Landsat 8/9 and Sentinel-2 satellites.
