Dataset Description This dataset belongs to paper [1] and contains data for 31 pollen samples from honey bees. Each pollen sample was collected at 24-hour intervals using a pollen trap, scanned, photographed and examined by light microscopy. For each sample the following is available: a high resolution, uncompressed scanner image (1200 dpi) the same image with calibrated colours (professional colour chart) a smartphone photo (Samsung Galaxy S8) the same image with calibrated colours (calibrated by print test strip, see paper) for each pollen sample, a laboratory analysis of the actual plant species contained. In addition, a CSV file is included for each image, which contains the RGB colour and its position for each automatically detected pollen pellet. The colours are differentiated into primary and secondary colours (for more information see [1]). The pollen samples were collected at approximately one-week intervals in Almke, Germany, from two bee colonies. The dataset contains a detailed description of the methodology. References [1] P.
