This project aims to generate a high-quality full-length transcriptome of winged bean (Psophocarpus tetragonolobus L.) pod tissues using PacBio Iso-Seq technology. Pods were collected at 15 days after anthesis, a critical developmental stage associated with active seed filling and metabolic activity. Long-read RNA sequencing was performed to capture complete, full-length transcripts expressed in the pod and developing seeds.The primary objective of this study is to identify and characterize genes involved in fatty acid biosynthesis, which contributes to the nutritional and oil quality of winged bean seeds. In addition, the dataset will be used to investigate genes associated with anti-nutritional factors, which influence the nutritional value and utilization of winged bean as a food and feed crop. The resulting full-length transcript resource will support functional genomics, gene annotation, and molecular breeding efforts aimed at improving the nutritional quality of winged bean.
