Raw data for papepr titled "A maternal effect on queen production in the honey bee (Apis mellifera)"

This study showed a maternal effect on queen production in the honey bee (Apis mellifera). honeybee queens lay bigger eggs in queen cells compared to those laid in worker cells. There are four tables in this dataset supporting these findings. Table 1 is raw data of egg weight from QE and WE; Table 2 is data of egg length and width from QE and WE; Table 3 is data queen weight from QE, WE and 2L; Table 4 is data of ovariole number of right side from QE,WE and 2L. This data is related with the paper "A maternal effect on queen production in the honey bee (Apis mellifera)" submitted to Current biology (CURRENT-BIOLOGY-D-17-00866).

本研究揭示了西方蜜蜂（Apis mellifera）中母性效应对蜂王培育的影响。相较于工蜂巢房内产下的卵，蜂王在王台内所产的卵更大。本数据集包含四张表格以支撑上述研究结论：表1为王台卵（QE）与工蜂卵（WE）的卵重原始数据；表2为王台卵与工蜂卵的卵长及卵宽数据；表3为王台卵、工蜂卵及2L组样本的蜂王体重数据；表4为王台卵、工蜂卵及2L组样本的右侧卵巢管（ovariole）数量数据。本数据集与提交至《当代生物学（Current Biology）》、稿件编号为CURRENT-BIOLOGY-D-17-00866的论文《西方蜜蜂蜂王培育中的母性效应》相关。
