资源简介:
Pinus taeda, loblolly pine, is a fast growing tree that produces high quality lumber and pulp and is considered a major bioenergy feedstock. It is also the most genetically studied pine species and number of genetic and QTL maps have been developed. It was chosen by PGI as the reference species for sequencing the pine genome. Data for echt_ta_08 genetic map was kindly provided to NCBI by Craig S. Echt, US Forest Service. The map was constructed from two unrelated P. taeda outbred pedigrees constructed by the Weyerhaeuser Company, referred to as base and qtl. It has an an estimated genome coverage of 1,515 cM that incorporated 170 new SSR markers and 290 previously reported SSR, RFLP, and ESTP markers. Additional tree maps can be accessed at TreeGenes database that maintains tree genome resources.
