Bivariate map of 'oil and gas development potential' and 'wildland conservation value' for six states in the western contiguous United States. Documented in: Chandler M, Belote RT, Meek MH. (in prep). Modeling oil and gas development potential to identify conservation risks and opportunities in the western United States. There is 1 .csv file: bivariate_output_2026-03-12.csv — latitude and longitude coordinates for the center point of each 10-km x 10-km grid cell and the bivariate class for that grid cell. There is 1 .tiff file: bivariate_output_2026-03-12.tiff — raster of the bivariate map. There is 1 .html file: interactive_bivariate_output_2026-03-12.html — interactive (zoom, pan, hover) version of the bivariate map. This file is self-contained so can be downloaded and opened in a web browser to view the bivariate map without the need for additional files or software. The interactive bivariate map can also be viewed on the lead author's website. There is 1 .R file: bivariate_map.R— R script used to produce the above bivariate map and output files.
