Road safety survey 1997

This is the 17th study in a series of annual surveys on road safety conducted since 1981. The study is conducted by Statistics Sweden on behalf of the Swedish National Road Administration, which had the overall responsibility for road safety in Sweden in 1997. Today the study is conducted on behalf of the Swedish Transport Administration.

The study aims to identify and analyse traffic safety statistics. This is done by a written questionnaire directed to a stratified sample of the population. The study from 1997 had a 75,4 percent response rate and a sample of 9 730 randomly selected people aged between 15 and 84 years. Since 1985 the age group -75 to 84 returns with four to five years.

The questions in the study include, for example, traffic behaviour and traffic patterns; attitudes to road safety and traffic rules, the relation between alcohol and traffic and child safety in traffic. Both motor traffic, bicycle and foot traffic is concerned. A total of 24 questions are used, including descriptive questions, estimation questions and attitude questions.

本研究为1981年起启动的道路安全年度系列调研的第17项成果。1997年时，瑞典国家道路管理局（Swedish National Road Administration）全面统筹瑞典国内道路安全事务，本次调研由瑞典统计局（Statistics Sweden）受该局委托开展；如今该系列调研的委托方已变更为瑞典交通管理局（Swedish Transport Administration）。

本调研旨在梳理并解析交通安全统计数据，具体执行方式为面向人群分层抽样（stratified sample）群体发放书面调查问卷。1997年的调研共随机选取9730名年龄介于15至84岁的受访者，有效回收率达75.4%；自1985年起，75至84岁年龄组的调研周期调整为每4至5年一次。

调研问卷涵盖的内容包括交通行为与出行模式、道路安全及交通规则认知态度、酒驾关联问题、道路出行儿童安全等；调研覆盖机动车交通、非机动车骑行及步行出行三类场景。整套问卷共包含24道题目，题型涵盖描述性问题、估算类问题及态度类问题三大类别。
