In an era where organisational performance increasingly depends on human capital, this study examines how effective leadership influences meaningful work, organisational citizenship behaviour (OCB), and job satisfaction among managerial employees in Indian manufacturing firms. Drawing on Social Exchange Theory and Self‑Determination Theory, a quantitative, cross‑sectional survey of 412 managers was analyzed using PLS‑SEM via SmartPLS 4. Findings reveal that effective leadership significantly enhances meaningful work, OCB, and job satisfaction, with meaningful work further influencing OCB and satisfaction. The study’s originality lies in integrating these theoretical lenses in the Indian manufacturing context, offering actionable insights for leadership development and workforce motivation.
