Observations of sastrugi were made along the standard Wilkes Land traverse route from A017, spaced every 10km. Note was made of primary sastrugi orientation and height, secondary orientation and height (if any), type (old or new), and type of snow (fine grained, wind packed, soft, etc).
Copies of these documents have been archived in the records store of the Australian Antarctic Division.
