This dataset is produced for the STRASA project in which breeders are developing varieties tolerant to iron toxicity. The intended use is that tolerant varieties can be sent to places with high risk of iron toxicity. This \"iron soils\" map was combined with three crop maps (GAEZv3, MIRCA2000,SPAM2005) and multiplied with country specific fractions rainfed lowland rice from Diagne et al. (2013) because iron toxicity occurs predominantly in poorly drained rainfed lowland rice soils and rarely in upland or irrigated rice.
本数据集为STRASA项目研制而成,该项目由育种工作者研发耐铁毒性作物品种。其预设应用场景为将耐铁毒性品种推广至铁毒性高风险区域。本“铁质土壤”地图已与三份作物地图(GAEZv3、MIRCA2000、SPAM2005)进行融合,并结合Diagne等人(2013)研究中各国雨育低地水稻的占比系数进行加权计算——这是由于铁毒性主要发生在排水不良的雨育低地水稻种植土壤中,极少出现在旱地或灌溉稻田环境。
