Original image stacks for descriptions of fossil mites Levantoglyphus sidorchukae n. gen. and sp. from Cretaceous amber of Lebanon (ca. 129 Ma). Two specimens in a finely polished piece of amber are embedded in epoxy between two glass coverslips.<br>Compound microscopes Nikon E-800 with water immersion optics (40x and 60x), Zeiss AxioImager A2 with dry (40x, 63x) and oil immersion optics (100x), Leica DM 2500 LED (40x, 100x). Brightfield, phase contrast, polarized and differential interference contrast and incident illumination were used. Stacks of images, comprising multiple focal planes, were obtained with digital cameras Olympus OM-D E-M10II on the Nikon microscope, Zeiss Axiocam 506 color, Hitachi KP-HD20A on the Zeiss microscope, and Leica DMC4500 on the Leica microscope.<br>Stacks were corrected for color, brightness and noise with Adobe Lightroom, then exported to JPEG format. <br><br>

本数据集为描述黎巴嫩白垩纪琥珀（约1.29亿年）中发现的新属新种化石螨Levantoglyphus sidorchukae所用的原始图像堆栈。
一件经精细抛光的琥珀标本内保存有两只螨类标本，该琥珀样品被封装于两片玻璃盖玻片之间的环氧树脂中。
成像采用的复合显微镜包括：配备水浸物镜（40倍、60倍）的尼康（Nikon）E-800显微镜、配备干式物镜（40倍、63倍）与油浸物镜（100倍）的蔡司（Zeiss）AxioImager A2显微镜，以及徕卡（Leica）DM 2500 LED显微镜（配置40倍、100倍物镜）。实验使用了明场、相差、偏光、微分干涉差照明及落射照明等成像模式。
通过配套数码相机采集包含多个焦平面的图像堆栈：尼康显微镜搭载奥林巴斯（Olympus）OM-D E-M10II数码相机，蔡司显微镜搭载蔡司Axiocam 506彩色数码相机与日立（Hitachi）KP-HD20A数码相机，徕卡显微镜搭载徕卡DMC4500数码相机。
图像堆栈经Adobe Lightroom完成色彩、亮度与噪声校正后，导出为JPEG格式文件。
