Laboratory Information Indexing System

The Lab Information Indexing System (LIIS) is a web-driven database application for laboratories looking to store their sample or culture metadata on a central server. Its design came out of a need to replace traditional paper storage and an easier to search format to compliment digital spreadsheets. The LIIS supports import and export of CSV spreadsheets, and stores general metadata designed to complement the environmental packages provided by the Genomic Standards Consortium. The goals of the LIIS is to simplify the archival process and provide and easy to access library of your labs annotations.

实验室信息索引系统（Lab Information Indexing System，LIIS）是一款面向科研实验室的网页驱动型数据库应用，可帮助实验室在中央服务器上存储样本或培养物的元数据。该系统的研发初衷为替代传统纸质存储方案，并提供相较于电子表格更具检索便利性的格式。LIIS支持CSV电子表格的导入与导出，同时存储用于补充基因组标准联盟（Genomic Standards Consortium）所提供的环境类套件的通用元数据。其核心目标在于简化档案归档流程，并打造易于访问的实验室注释文库。
