Hand Placement and Judgment of Self-Location

Perception of self-location was compared between participants holding a “salute” (hand to head) pose and participants holding a “National Anthem” (hand to chest) pose. 121 participants took part in an online study. Individuals either held a “salute” pose or a “National Anthem” pose and, then, identified the place in the body where they perceived that they existed.
