DMSP F17 Special Sensors-Ions, Electrons, and Scintillation (SSIES) Thermal Plasma Analysis Package, Level 2 (L2), 1 s Data in CDF Format

The Special Sensors-Ions, Electrons, and Scintillation (SSIES) thermal plasma analysis package is a suite of instruments built by the Center for Space Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas and flown on a number of the DMSP satellites. SSIESS includes a Retarding Potential Analyzer (RPA), Ion Drift meter (IDM), scintillation meter, and Langmuir probe.

特殊传感器-离子、电子与闪烁（Special Sensors-Ions, Electrons, and Scintillation，SSIES）热等离子体分析套件是由德克萨斯大学达拉斯分校空间科学中心研制的一套仪器组合，曾搭载于多颗国防气象卫星计划（Defense Meteorological Satellite Program，DMSP）卫星之上。该套件包含阻滞势分析仪（Retarding Potential Analyzer，RPA）、离子漂移计（Ion Drift Meter，IDM）、闪烁仪以及朗缪尔探针（Langmuir probe）。
