Site Name Register Name Objects (WMS)

The place names register is a national database, the purpose of which is to collect and register information about Estonian place names, to process and store collected data and to make available to users. In the site name register name objects service, the name objects whose status in the place name register database has been determined to be valid. In the service, the named objects are presented, either with the spatial shape from the database of the place names register or, if the named object has a link with the register (Environmental Register, Heritage Protection Register, Public Transport Register, Road Register, Classification of Administrative and Population Units of Estonia) in the database of the place names register, with the spatial shape obtained from the relevant register. Name objects are divided into 22 name objects in the service: social and productive area, flow waters, waterborne transport, roads, inland waterways, islands, railways, surface shapes, air transport, other territorial units, informal areas, sea, individual landscape elements, counties, land cover, land use, nature areas, municipalities, buildings, public transport, settlement units, historical areas.地名登记簿（place names register）为国家级数据库，其建设宗旨为收集并登记爱沙尼亚境内的各类地名相关信息，对采集所得数据开展处理与存储工作，并向用户开放数据访问服务。 在本平台的地名对象服务模块中，仅展示地名登记簿数据库内状态确认为有效的地名对象。此类对象可附带地名登记簿数据库存储的空间轮廓信息；若某地名对象与地名登记簿数据库内的关联登记册存在绑定关系，则可附带从对应登记册获取的空间轮廓信息。上述关联登记册包括：环境登记簿（Environmental Register）、遗产保护登记簿（Heritage Protection Register）、公共交通登记簿（Public Transport Register）、道路登记簿（Road Register）以及爱沙尼亚行政与人口单位分类系统（Classification of Administrative and Population Units of Estonia）。 本服务共划分22类地名对象，具体分类如下：社会生产区域、流动水域、水上运输、道路、内陆航道、岛屿、铁路、地表形态、航空运输、其他领土单元、非正式区域、海域、单个景观要素、县、土地覆盖、土地利用、自然区域、市镇、建筑物、公共交通、居民点单元以及历史区域。
