Museum Catalogue Collaboration (Budapest, Hungary, 2017)

The Catalogue of Wooden Figures is the first of a series of online catalogues aimed at presenting the corpus of wooden, stone and bronze sculptures kept in the Collection of Egyptian Antiquities of the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest. Although scholarly research has been continuously carried out on the highlights of the collection since the 1940s, and results have been regularly published in the Bulletin du Musée Hongrois des Beaux-Arts, and recently in Egyptian Artefacts of the Museum of Fine Arts Budapest (2013), a comprehensive study has not yet been completed on the subject. Along with launching this online series, the Department of Egyptian Antiquities intends to create an open-access, easily searchable database of the catalogued object groups. In addition to the basic data of the objects (inv. no., photo, object name, measures, material and condition, description, classification/function, date, origin, provenance, bibliography, analogies/parallels), a short description (using keywords) and the full bibliography of the objects are also included. Furthermore, the objects are classified according to their most probable original context in which they had been used in Antiquity (Classification/Function). 《木质造像总目》（Catalogue of Wooden Figures）是首个在线系列总目，旨在呈现布达佩斯美术博物馆（Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest）埃及古物馆藏（Collection of Egyptian Antiquities）中的木质、石质与青铜雕塑藏品群。尽管自20世纪40年代以来，学界持续对该馆藏的精品展开专题研究，研究成果定期发表于《匈牙利美术博物馆通报》（Bulletin du Musée Hongrois des Beaux-Arts）及近期出版的《布达佩斯美术博物馆埃及文物集（2013）》（Egyptian Artefacts of the Museum of Fine Arts Budapest, 2013），但针对该主题的综合性研究迄今仍未完成。随着本在线系列总目的推出，埃及古物部（Department of Egyptian Antiquities）计划打造一个开放获取、易于检索的编目藏品群数据库。除藏品基础数据（馆藏编号inv. no.、照片、藏品名称、尺寸、材质与保存状况、描述、分类/功能、年代、出土地点、来源、参考文献、类比藏品/平行藏品（analogies/parallels））外，本数据库还包含藏品的关键词简述与完整参考文献列表。此外，藏品将依据其在古埃及时期的最可能原始使用场景（分类/功能）进行归类。每一条编目条目均附有印刷出版物或各类埃及馆藏网站中记载的类比/平行藏品清单。本项目与首席馆长埃瓦·利普泰伊博士（Dr. Éva Liptay）的合作始于2012年，本人尤其针对奥西里斯（Osiris）与普塔-索卡尔-奥西里斯（Ptah-Sokar-Osiris）造像馆藏展开研究，并作为主题专家与顾问参与了本次总目的编撰工作。
