Complete genomes of 22 bacterial strains isolated from polluted soil microbiota via enrichment on PFAS as a sole carbon source

22 bacterial strains were isolated from PFAS-contaminated soil in the Veneto region, Italy, using PFOA and HFBA as sole carbon sources. Whole genomes were sequenced and screened with a curated database of dehalogenase-related proteins. All genomes showed potential for fluorinated compound transformation.
