Output files of the large eddy simulation (LES) model ASPIRE for 30 stratocumulus days in 2023, with application of the ensemble Kalman filter using various sets of observations for the initial condition, to assess the benefit of data assimilation in LES for forecasting solar radiation during stratocumulus conditions. The domain is 6.4 km x 6.4 km x 6.4 km, the horizontal resolution is 100 m, the vertical grid size increases from 25 m at the surface to 100 m at the top of the domain, with a total of 128 vertical levels.
