Multi-omics (metagenomics, metatranscriptomics and metaRibo-Seq) analysis of a 16-member synthetic community (SynCom), natural soil and human gut microbiome samples. Metatranscriptomics and metaRibo-Seq data were integrated to predict microbial competition and substrate preferences, and design targeted interventions to selectively modify microbiome composition.
